New Year, New Work Out, New Shoes

For many women, the New Year marks a time to get a new fitness plan.  Here at the Advanced Footcare Clinic, we encourage our patients to keep up with a regular fitness plan to keep you healthy and feeling great.  But did you know that regular exercise and stretching will help keep your feet healthy?  Stretching the muscles of the feet can help to aleviate pain in your foot muscles.  While targeted exercises and stretching will prevent your muscles from tightening, the proper footwear will prevent injury to your feet while you exercise.

The Advanced Footcare Clinic staff complies a quarterly list that evaluates the shoes currently on the market.  Recently, the Advanced Footcare Clinic staff recommended the following shoes for exercise, walking, or running:

New Balance: 1011*   587(lat)   817    766
Asics Gel: Evolution    Foundation    Fortitude
Etonic: Stable Pro
Nike: Equation     Structure Triax
Brooks: Beast*/Ariel*     Addiction     Adrenaline     Vapor
Saucony: Grid Stabil     Onmi      Hurricane
Adidas: Adistar Control     Supernova Sequense
Mizuno: Renegade

The shoes that made the Top Shoes List had the following features that we recommend you check for:
