Treat Your Feet

Your feet are an extremely important part of the body.  They are the base for your body, and when your feet are healthy, so is the rest of your body.  Feet get their time to shine in the warm summer months.  They are out in sandals and bare by the pool.  Don't neglect your feet now just because of the cold weather.

To help keep your feet happy, healthy, and warm during the winter months try these tips.
  • Never walk barefoot at home. Invest in a comfortable pair of slippers or warm fuzzy socks to protect your feet.
  •  Exfoliate your feet! –Use a loofah sponge to exfoliate tops, sides and bottom of your feet. Remember to scrub all of your toes too.

  • After drying with a fluffy towel, apply your favorite moisturizer generously and then put on a thick (warm from the dryer) pair of socks on for a pampered feeling.

Another great way to treat your feet is with a warm winter pedicure.  One option is to go to a spa and pamper you  feet.  If you choose this option, be sure to research the spa and make sure the spa sterilizes its tools and cleans equipment between each customer.  Also, evaluate the spa's cleanliness when you arrive.  The spa should be as clean as a doctor's office.  If the spa does not adhere to these standards, find a different spa.  Another option is a "DIY" pedicure.  The pedicure set which can be purchased at vailfoot.com through the product store is perfect for this.  These kits will help give you professional results. After all, "having the right tools is half the battle in doing any job right!" They also make wonderful Mother's Day, Christmas, birthday, and any day gifts! The kit includes

The winter is no excuse for leaving your feet out in the cold; pamper your feet all through the year!
